Fairfield Industries have a range of properties across the whole of the north of England, ranging from 10,000 sq.ft. in the Port of Heysham to an 18 acre industrial park on the south bank of the River Tyne, two and a half miles from the city centre of Newcastle.
In Stockton-on-Tees, as well as a trading estate in Boathouse Lane where all of the units have overhead travelling cranes, Fairfield have a machine tool overhaul and rebuilding facility in Bowesfield Crescent where we have overhead travelling cranes from 5 tons – 40 tons so that we can handle even the largest of machine tools and presses for the automotive industry, some with an overall weight of 200 tons.
In Middlesbrough we have 3 separate and distinct facilities in the town; in East Middlesbrough we have the former Northern Machine Tools (Engineering) facility of 25,000 sq.ft. and with 20 ton overhead travelling cranes; a further industrial site extending to over 30,000 sq.ft. with overhead cranage up to 10 tons on Dockside Road on the south bank of the River Tees; in North Ormesby Road Middlesbrough where our offices are located, we have extensive machine tool rebuilding, overall, and demonstration facilities in some 26,000 sq.ft. of buildings all served by overhead travelling cranes lifting up to 20 tons.
Fairfield Industrial Park situated at Hebburn-on-Tyne, aerial shot below, contains a range of buildings, some with cranage, some with extensive offices, and others suitable for a whole range of manufacturing industries in a quite unique setting on the south bank of the River Tyne in what has been described as; "a garden estate"
The range of properties and buildings that we own and occupy allows us to remove equipment quickly as production needs change, from our client’s factories and rehouse them in our own facility, often where they are rebuilt or retrofitted with updated controls. It allows us enormous flexibility when offering to buy used equipment or plant as obviously, we are not relying upon using the vendor’s premises for our purchases as we have sufficient premises within our own portfolio to house any equipment that we might purchase. We believe that the aforementioned facilities and properties are the largest available in the United Kingdom handling specifically machinery, plant and equipment.
In addition to these extensive facilities we also have properties in other parts of the United Kingdom that we own in joint venture with our leading property partner, which allows us facilities across the whole of the United Kingdom.
